Happy Holidays! Break is almost here, but we have several exciting events before vacation starts after school on December 17th. Next week we have our Christmas Program. We have two presentations on Tuesday and one on Wednesday. Please check in Infinite Campus to view the notice about scheduled times if you lost your notice. It is very helpful if you adhere to the assigned time for your family as we find we are completely full in the auditorium and we have tried to equalize the attendance so everyone will enjoy their time.
The students have been working very hard as was evident in the awards assemblies held last week. Many students received awards for their entries in Reflections and some will be going on to competition at the District level. I am also very impressed with the number of students who have perfect attendance to date. Research indicates that attendance is a strong indicator of student achievement.
At this time of the year I would like to thank all of the volunteers who make our school a better place. They help us to achieve the high levels of academic achievement our students are able to attain. The students have also demonstrated their generosity by bringing in food for the Food Bank. Many hungry families will be appreciative.
Your generosity is noted by the support for the Math-a-thon. The proceeds are purchasing an electronic messenger board. We hope to have it up early in the new year to provide you with additional information on upcoming events.
I hope you all have a fantastic break and look forward to seeing the students back on Monday, January 3rd.
