Today, administration made recommendation to the Board on the 6th grades selected to be moved to middle schools. The recommendation was made considering which middle schools the 5th grade elementary students would normally attend after 6th grade, numbers of 5th grade students by school, and available capacity at middle schools to accommodate those students. The schools selected for moving their 6th grade students for next fall include: Chubbuck, Ellis, Jefferson, Syringa, Tendoy, Tyhee and Wilcox.
Letters to parents of 5th grade students are being mailed today and the school will set a date for parent meetings to disseminate information in the next few days.
